What I Did Over Thanksgiving 2021

In the winter, we owners travel to Sea Colony and get it ready for the season. This year we were at Sea Colony in late November. It's always surprising. This winter of 2021, we discovered that the repairs from our upstairs neighbor's leak had not been completed. The heat didn't work in one condo. In the other, someone got creative and put a pot in every cabinet (new version of a chicken in every pot?). And of course, all the shower doors were covered in water spots.
All of these items are being addressed before Summer 2022. The only thing we can't fix is Friendly's - our favorite place for late night eats in Rehoboth has closed!
I organized the cabinets and took pictures. I'm working on a book for our guests that shows our kitchen equipment and where everything belongs.
My husband installed new locks and door knobs on the front doors. I washed the mattress pad and blankets. We always provide extra blankets and comforters for our guests. I put them in bags and label them. I've had guests misunderstand and think they are for the owner. This year I labeled them 'For Our Guests'.
My husband worked on straightening our the vertical blinds. It's six of one and half a dozen of the other when it comes to window coverings. We had curtains, but they were torn - ruining both the fabric and the railing. Vertical blinds break and fall down - but they are easy to replace and rarely do the hangers need to be fixed.
We were able to go to our favorite restaurants at the end of our work days.
I tried to take pictures of all the pretty Christmas Lights - but only a few came out well and I posted them on Instagram and Facebook.
We'll be back in the Spring. I need to work some more on the water spots.
